DR. RAY'S BIO
Dr. Raymond Sicilia was born and raised in north Spokane. He graduated from Shadle Park High School in 1988. For his undergraduate education he attended Spokane Falls Community College then went onto graduate school at Western States Chiropractic College and received his Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree in March, 1995. He then completed a three-year post-graduate course and earned his degree as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician.
He has worked as the Team Chiropractor and Strength Coach for Shadle Park High School, and continues to work with his alma mater. In his career he has worked with athletes ranging in ages from little league to college, semi-pro, and professional. He is also the only Chiropractor is Spokane to be invited out to treat the Seattle Seahawks at their summer camp in Cheney.
He incorporates a variety of techniques to adjust his patients, such as: Diversified, Drop table/Cox, and Activator. He understands that he must individualize treatment protocols for each patient. Depending on the situation, he utilizes different manipulative techniques in combination with different types of traction, low level light laser (aka: Cold Laser), and soft tissue treatments such as; myofascial release, active release, trigger point, active assisted stretching, and home instruction for stretching and exercising.
Dr. Ray, (as he is known by his patients) treats patients of all ages, from infants to the elderly. He focuses on restoring the form and function of their Neuro-Musculo-Skeletal systems. Unfortunately, most spinal related problems are not age dependant. Early in his career he concentrated only on pain relief. His clinical experience has changed his view on how he approaches each case, treating the patient as a patient and not just a symptom.
